Physical Demon:
Electronic synth ambient. Physical Demon sounds a bit like labelmates Sundrips and Megabats but is more cerebrally experimental and involved with droning electronic textures and fleeting blippiness.
*1. Slow lush synth atmospherics, arpeggiating laser fire, some harsh loops incorporated, sustained computer tone backing. (8:37)
2. Fades in from previous track, skittery soundscape of post-Blade Runner zipping synths and futuristic electronics. (11:24)
The Al Qaeda Septet:
Free rock – on first glance, this is kind of a disparate split. Interesting fusion stuff that would make Miles Davis smile, while the late spaced-out electronics make sense within the Debacle roster.
*3. More direct guitar parts, distant trumpet, loose slithery percussion, messy noodling, I think the trumpet is playing in some eastern scale, giving an Arab flavor. Builds in intensity with droning guitar picking and feedback, spaced effects come in, percussion straightens out a bit to a tribal groove. Cool space fusion climax. (17:37)
