Four-track concept album about dontoyare, the ideal of “living life without regrets.” According to the one-pager, this album supposedly channels the spirit of the dead Japanese actor Shintaro Katsu, and it’s worth playing for that alone. Produced by Mizuhiro, a Japanese ambient musician who runs the label Ginjoha. He also produces music as Taiyoutou, Hi-Speed, and Animo Computer. FCC CLEAN

(NOTE: Most tracks have a bit of silence at the beginning of them, or have very delicate intros. Just something to keep in mind when you’re on-air.)

1. (11:22) Gentle shimmers, hypnotic. Progressively gets a little darker.
2. (12:02) Lush. A soft bed of extended melodic tones, subtle variations.
3. (10:32) Grand and futuristic, skittering, with a murky chorus of vocal samples.
4. (10:33) Starts off staticy and later gets busy and full of life—gentle whirligigs of sounds, choppy synth lines, keyboards used as a percussive instrument.
