Sun of 81 is a collaborative, experimental/ambient/drone/etc effort between Gilbert Avila of California and Stacy Stephens of Arizona. Composed to impart the feeling of riding dehydrated through the desert, I'm getting more of a wintertime rust belt looking up at the stars, can't drink the water because it's irradiated kind of thing.

1. Side I (14:55) Suite of many shorter pieces, some great some decent. Unfocused; spaced out with looping, sparse organs, guitars, synths, electronic equipment sound effects. 4:06-6:33 is fucking great. Play this if you are a late night dj who wants to only put one thing on for 15 minutes but would like to sound like you are putting ~6 things on.

*2. Side II (14:35) Whole piece; I assume they play this kind of music at SETI all night. 30s movie radio equipment noises, messages from outer space, distorted but still cheesy floyd organs, semi-optimistic pbs science special closing credits music to close.
