Jupe Jupe: Invaders: Slightly 80s sounding synth rock, like a crossbreed of Cut Copy and Depeche Mode. Dark-sounding vocals (a bit of a Robert Smith sound), lots of synths, big sounds abound, although the second half of the album takes it slowed and mellower. Nothin’ like a good ol’ space-themed rock/electronica album. FCC clean. Try 2, 12, 5, 10 1) 0:57 Orchestral synth intro. 2) 4:48 Lead rock electric guitar, clapped beat, male chorus of voices. Slightly eerie feeling to it. 3) 4:24 Distorted bass synths, light plucked guitar, annoying high-pitched synths. 4) 4:46 Less synth, more alt rock. Mostly uptempo electric guitar, peppy drumkit, wistful but lively vocals, some piano thrown in. 5) 4:12 Smooth synths, airy & echoic vocals, with acoustic guitar. 6) 4:50 Synth-heavy, distorted vocals. Slightly hypnotic, midtempo but peppy. 7) 3:29 Noise-y synth instrumental track. 8) 4:32 Soft vocals, sad elevator music-ish instrumentals. 9) 5:52 Classical synth riff, slow singing and a more intense interlude. 10) 5:13 Pink Floyd circa Dark Side of the Moon sound here, with high vocal chorus and guitar emphasis. More synths towards the end, though. 11) 3:19 Just acoustic guitar and vocals, slightly out of tune with each other at times. 12) 2:34 A mellow but funky space jam: airy synth backdrop with syncopated guitar line.
