Folky, twangy New Weird psychedelic. MV + EE is neo-psych veteran Matt Valentine and partner Erika Elder. Reverb-laden layers of guitars, deep bass, light percussion, trippy astral effects, muddled production, and instrumentation spilling out from the Neil Young-esque excess. Just hippy central - psychedelic, drug informed drifting along. Not a care in the world. This music was made for sunny afternoons in Golden Gate Park. No FCCs. All are great. Side A for short, side B for long. 33 RPM
Side A:
1. Trippy, freaky dreamy new weird America, ringy bliss. Woods' Jeremy Earl contributes harmony vocals. (4:58)
2. Lush, laid-back psych groove, lots of delay, melodic, beautiful. (4:16)
3. Extended loose delay, reverb chords, lengthy guitar/mandolin/flute passages, shimmery guitars. 13 minutes of San Francisco leaf puffing. (13:11)
Side B
1. Cool, slow hip feel, deep bass drum keeps the time with sexy female vocals, cosmic outer space effects. (9:32)
2. A little more urgent, female vocals buried in delay/effects, acid wah guitar comes in with harmonica, less percussion on this one, ends on space raga trippy fusion. (11:25)
