Vakula- Picture of You
Label: Dekmantel Records
Vakula is a Ukranie based producer. He has been putting out tracks since 2008 on such labels as Firecracker Recordings, Quintessentials, Unthank, and Dekmantel. His music has a detroit deep-house/acid-house kinda vibe. Live instruments, earthy tones, and warm keys contribute to his signature sound. If you like this then checkout Moodymann, Rick Wade,MCDE and Soulphiction. This particular release is primarily acid with a retro vibe, some of this stuff is just dirty good fun. Try: 1,2,3
1) Static-encrusted beats with twisted acid-analog loop - filthy!
2) A bit more chilled-out with mellow synths but signature acid-house feel - a bit more downtempo
3) Like acid soul - soulful fem vocal samples with warm synths but definitely there is that analog acid sound
4) First half is blissfully chilled out with synth washes, second half gets into disco-house beats
5) Syncopated broken-beat patterns, bubbly synths
