Indie novelty rock & pop. Goofy, doofy, catchy, good natured, immature, clever. Guitar, bass, drums, cheesy synth. Bits of jingles mixed in. At least one of these songs will make you crack a smile. His stage presence is great, a must-see if you’re ever near Pittsburgh. Been releasing tapes, CDs, etc since around 1986 making the "Weird Al/Ramones" nexus all his own.
++1.Mid-slow guitar bass+cheesy synth, 80’s-style rock. Homeowner-type song, almost an extended jingle for State Select Water Heaters?
+2.Mid-fast, angsty ode to a lost snack
++3.Poppy, want to keep out of the grave
4. math metal (originally written in mid-80’s while Paul in high school)This really needs to be covered by a Japanoise band.
++5.Fast positive indie rock, advice to a child learning to add. No synth on this one.
6. Ode to cold drinks sounding like a TV theme song
7. Synth & guitar extravaganza, more serious "stole my heart and ripped it apart"
8.mid-fast synth heavy, non-leathal, wants cake? Fun music even if I can’t get the words.
9. Fun goofy 30-second Can our band play in the garage thing.
10.Mid-slow rock, ode to chainsaw needed for yardwork. Good guitar solo
+11.Tale of pathos to a catchy chorus. Synth/guitar mix
++12.FCC? "my ass is on fire" Tambourine & synth gives late-60’s psych feel. Minor/major key and 4/4 to 3/4 changes.
+13.Rock/metal, more serious, “my baby don’t care”.
++14.Silly punk, ode to empty cans of cheap beer (and something else)
+15.Silly :44 synth/guitar thought
16.Rock/pop Jonesing for cheap cake
17.Minor key, referencing Beauty & the Beast? 4/4 punky start, slows down & 3/4 in middle
++18.Straight-up hardcore about a medical exam. Remake of song written in 80’s
+19. Very brief story
20. FCC? Scatalogical, childish lyric repeated ad nauseam over funky bass & annoying keyboards, and yet so catchy. Better live.
+21.Mid tempo “big rock”, confident 30-second nugget of what could be a bigger song
