Excellent ambient compositions from Bridgetown labelhead Kevin Greenspon. Often referred to as one of the hardest-working musicians in the scene (his 20+ recordings and lively label speak for themselves). Greenspon records all of his pieces without the usual electronic crutches—there are no synthesizers or laptops used on this album. Instead, he prefers the warm tones of guitar, and a dizzying assortment of analogue tape manipulation. His carefully-crafted melodies shine especially bright on A.D. Paradise—his latest release which collects 15 recent tracks originally released on limited edition cassettes tapes from prominent labels like Bathetic and Existential Cloth. ALL TRACKS FCC CLEAN

NOTE: Tracks 7, 11, and 12 are also featured on the Bridgetown Summer Mixtape

*1. Gentle flutey acoustics. Pulsating and radiant. 2. Slow drifting.
*3. Icy and disorienting. Whispering melodies. *4. The title track: slow-building ambient, slowly blossoms into a tranquil nirvana. 5. Slow and uncertain. Long, sustained guitar notes…Sunn O))) sans all the distortion? 6. Lonely wandering drone, fades out into wound-salting noise dissonance. *7. Waking up to realize you’ve been asleep for 200 years. Finding the world to be abandoned, and populated only by towering cities of glass. Then you go dancing with yourself. In short: a truly remarkable ambient composition. 8. Chilly, frosty with a dark foreboding atmosphere. Long grinding melodies. 9. Fuzzy washed-out with undulating tides of distortion. 10. Shiny and lustrous with excellent wavering textures—like the scattered sunset reflected on shimmering water. 11. Lacerating pulses, breathless undulations. Wistful.
*12. Excellent bouncy textures—reverb-drenched guitar picks. Dissolves into a slow-burning guitar drone. 13. 1 minute poignant guitar melody with a crackling bed of noise. 14. Window pane is a street name for LSD. You’d be damned lucky to have a trip this smooth and lilty. 15. Turn up the gain! A nice static-sandblasted guitar outro. More bands should end albums like this.
