Light, dreamy, flamenco guitar folk with strong female vocal lines and some nice variation in accompaniment. A bunch of love songs that are well crafted and wear their cliche with grace, except for tracks 7-10. Don't let that distract you from the good ones. (BTW, I think the track titles are a little off..) RIYL Mia Doi Todd, Adron, Joni Mitchell, Janelle Monae's slow songs PICKS - 4, 5, 2, 11 FCC - clean 1. (4:01) Dreamy intro with slow beat, then slow multi-layered vocal lullaby *2. (3:16) Midtempo strummy folk 3. (3:08) Spanish vocals, plucked **4. (2:52) Slow dreamy 60s acid trip in Paris, wow *5. (3:38) Dreamy midtempo flamenco, Your Imaginary Friend is hula dancing 6. (2:31) Another Spanish lullaby 7. (5:35) Spoken/sung male Spanish, she's singing in English with midtempo drums 8. (4:10) Now some drum machine and low end, downtempo, ends and shifts to quiet and flutes with 1:10 remaining 9. (3:20) Maracas and sparse instruments, lame bee/flower love metaphor lyrics 10. (2:17) Very sparse guitar with lots of tremolo and reverb, lovely if you tune out the words *11.
