Funky electronic remixes. Thunderball are three of the Fort Knox Five from DC. Remixes are all over the map, from 70’s retro disco and Blaxploitation to Dubstep and other noisy stuff.
1. 4:22 ****sitar & tabla intro, then jaunty midtempo Dub Reggae riddim. Fun mashup, infectious. Much talk about pot.
2. 3:47 ***bit of astro-chat, then sitar & tabla, funky but relaxed midtempo groove.
3. 3:38 ****energetic uptempo funk with electronics, falsetto vocals – a bit retro/disco, but fun.
4. 4:07 **uptempo dub funk with 70’s spy/police drama feel.
5. 4:38 ***midtempo relaxed funk, bit of Blaxploitation in the guitar.
6. 3:32 **midtempo relaxed funk (yeah, similar, yet different…) Echoes, hand percussion, bits of inscrutable talking in Spanish…
7. 5:03 ***uptempo funky, echo-y, blatty, electronics, Jamaican ranting. Funky wah-wah guitar towards end.
8. 3:57 ****groovy percussion and bits of female vocals in Spanish, has a bouncy 60’s dance feel.
9. 5:14 ***uptempo junglist with blats and sound collage, falsetto disco vocals. Blaxploitation feel.
10. 4:13 ****echoes, faint sitar, drones and dragonflies. Then forceful midtempo dubstep with all the trimmings. Poit! Blat! Wooble!
11. 4:21 ***a bit downtempo funky riddim with electronic noises, including, but not limited to, frogs.
12. 3:33 ****super-cool 70’s Blaxploitation, but with blatty electronics. Fun!
13. 5:13 ***odd limping rhythm, falsetto vocals, goes all dubstep after a minute or so.
14. 3:37 ***Latin percussion intro, then blatty processed vocals (?), oddness and dubstep electronics.
15. 9:20 **complex percussion with 4/4 thump, processed female vocals. Epic Club 54 groove. Doesn’t seem to go much of anywhere in all that time, though.
16. 4:32 ***futuristic space noises! Jamaican exclamations, echoes, gronchy noises, esp. in last minute or so.
