Nashville-based pop musician. One of the big “buzz bands” at CMJ 2011, and he also got plenty of attention at SXSW. 7 tracks of nice sprawling indie jams with great jangly percussion.

FCC CLEAN

RIYL: Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Harlem, Surfer Blood, Jay Reatard

*1. Raw guitars, gravely guitars, crashing cymbals.
*2. New wave elements. Poppy and lighthearted. Probably the catchiest track.
3. Midtempo. Pretty standard indie. Lyrics about big-picture life lessons, etc.
4. Bouncy. Sizzling guitar lines with nice piano accents and skittish drumming.
*5. Mid/Uptempo. Nice growling guitars, even drumming and standout vocals with great melodies.
6. Short and loud with layered vocals and guitars. Messy and lo-fi.
*7. Nice full sound with layered male and female vocals, a cool poppy bridge and great melodies.
