Washington D.C.-based band been playing for 20+ years. Nice blend of barroom blues, Chicago blues, jazzy and rockin’. Instrumentation of guitar, bass, drums, harmonica, piano, horns. Mostly originals, also covering Taj Mahal (#11) and Big Walter Horton (#13). Some fine playing throughout. No FCC’s.

*My Favorites*: 2, 3, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13.

1. (3:57) Mid. Plodding beat, classic barroom-sounding guitar, harmonica
2. *(3:46) Mid. Groovin’ loping jaunt.
3. *(3:29) Mid. Drum, handclap, vocal intro. Band gets going with backing vocals. Killer, jumpy, upbeat burner with nice piano, bass. Take-off on Robert Johnson’s They’re Red Hot.
4. (3:02) Mid. Jamming with cool harmonica, strong backbeat.
5. (5:12) Mid. Sparser with harmonica, understated guitar. Jazz influenced with horns.
6. *(5:55) Mid. Creedence Clearwater Revival song done a bit mellower than the original. Good groover with background harmonica and some nice lead guitar, good beat.
7. (2:29) Mid / Fast. INSTRUMENTAL. Upbeat, harmonica and guitar showcaser.
8. (3:35) Mid. Easy-going with nice guitar, plodding drums.
9. (6:06) Slow / Mid. Soulful, mournful dirge.
10. *(3:28) Mid. Upbeat with bright piano. Very hip. Great, easy beat, nice harmonica and backing vocals.
11. *(3:35) Mid. Taj Mahal classic. Galloping ride with some nice guitar, including a Howlin’ Wolf guitar phrase.
12. *(2:34) Mid / Fast. Upbeat jazzy blues number. Driving with cool harmonica soloing.
13. *(3:45) Mid. INSTRUMENTAL. Big Walter Horton song and tribute. Great playing with steady drumbeat and mellow guitar soloing. Good Stuff.
