Shimmering soundscapes from a constant KZSU local favorite. “Here (on Earth)” is possibly one of the most misleading album titles ever when it comes to describing the sound. Sentient beings of all ages are guaranteed to fall in love with the sunshiney, blissful waves of ethereal, hushed tones looping into what feels like infinity, even though this is one of their only records to not have any songs over ten minutes in length. It feels like the same abstract, dreamy chorus of tones throughout the whole record; the fascinating experimentation comes in the form of subtle variations in timbre and, when string instruments are involved, the tempo of gentle strumming and bowing. Listen to this while watching the sun rise and you can probably die happy.
1. (3:14) Oscillating, spacey looping synth melodies over spacey ambience
2. (7:37) Slowly reverberating echoes of cycling harp arpeggios
3. (6:55) Slow, plucking drone dissolves into echoing air (reminds me of a less bleak Lustmord)
4. (4:50) Gentle, floating melodies slowly merge with happy string strumming
5. (5:30) More on the bizarre side of things, though still dreamy. Dissonant contrasting synth melodies wandering around
6. (5:30) Scintillating sonic relaxation with echoing space satellite signals
7. (2:50) Strange and hypnotic lullaby with bells, flute, and whispered vocals
8. (7:23) Meditative flute and strummed guitar droning
