Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2011-11-13
Noise rock, industrial noise feedback, crashing drums, low-fi improv feel. Fans of old Swans, F/i. Mostly instrumental. Basically two tracks, the first very long, the second long, a bunch of silent 4 second “tracks” then a spoken thing at the end. Great shit.

1) (27:54) industrial feedback tone, dark menacing bass and slow plodding crashing drums, epic. After ~10 min things tone down and it takes on a midpaced rocking noise-rock improve feel ending w/ ~7 min left, then leaves us with a noise symposium
2) (9:52) noise, looping industrial intro, ~2 min in a high hat 80’s style beat appears, soaring synth tones reminiscent of F/i, kitchen sink trumpets, weirdness
3-8) 4 secs of silence each
9) spoken “interview-like”, talk of weird music, “psychedelics”, “drugs”, would make a good LID
