Serenading, forlorn ambient: distant washes of acoustic instruments layered over/under found-sound, blipping synth tones, and even cello and spoken word from guest performers in the first few tracks. The sad, pretty melodies all resonate in a giant open space—fans of A Winged Victory For The Sullen will enjoy the effect of recording in a church (this one in Bellingham instead of Berlin). Very gorgeous, melancholy, yet somehow warm and comforting at the same time.
RIYL A Winged Victory, The Talking Book… hell, even the Lickets

(FCC clean as far as I know, but I can’t be sure about the Japanese on track 3)
1. ***Super sad and gloomy arpeggios from various stringed instruments, slow and spacious guitar strumming; satellite signals
2. Achingly gorgeous ambient piano ballad with chirping birds and windchimes
3. Eerie, haunting echoes of dark sounds swirl around, later becoming a meditative backgrond for some Japanese poetry.
4. Light pretty piano, mostly major chords, some echoing cymbals and basement noises
5. ***Numbing, ethereal soundscapes of piano, twinkling bells, field recording of a horse walking down a beach.
6. ***Lush, relaxing piano and organ over jittery found-sound collages.
