Another 7” single released by Jack White on his Third Man records label. This stuff eliminates any doubt that Mr. White is indeed sincere and is a motherfucker (to use Miles Davis’ highest compliment). Third Man, like all great labels, has a “sound”, its being rootsy Americana if not outright Detroit swamp dirt rock. This stuff is its embodiment: a duo of miscreants who pull out all the stops and irreverently sing about disappointing their well intentioned parents, and, concomitantly, the world. Bad assed sludgey borderline stoner-rock stuff. MC5 and Alice Cooper on qualuudes. Don’t miss the Hammond B3 organ solo contributed by Jack White on the first track. Shit, don’t miss that first track at all!!
1) (6:24) dirty sludgey rootsy rock “my mother told me I could be anything I want, I wanna be a woman” fuckedupness, Jack White organ solo shreds
2) (5:32) upbeat rockin, mildly glammy
