Acceptance

WYLD WYZRDZ is the project of Braden J McKenna, the man behind the now-defunct Magic Goat Music, and more recently, the excellent “peace vibe record label” Inner Islands. He is another member of the “New Weird Utah” crew, and his music shares many of the same vibes as his contemporaries Stag Hare, Gkfoes Vjgoaf, Silver Antlers, Seven Feathers Rainwater. Using a palette of percussion-heavy ambient musings and intelligent new agey vibes, McKenna “channels the energies of inner journeys and the magic of mystery.” This is the final album by WYLD WYZRDZ, and stands as a reflection on acceptance.

RIYL: Brightblack Morning Light, Monster Rally, early Animal Collective

1. Spiritual and hymnal intro track featuring bells and chimes rattling in loose billowy breezes.
*2. Bright and sunny—psychedelic electric guitar, m83ish keyboard riffs, smooth hand drums and jangly percussion with delicate existentialist lyrics.
*3. Relaxing flutes, warm keyboard. Fits well alongside Sundrips, Sky Stadium, etc.
4. Gently rolling new agey drums, spiraling guitar melodies, peaceful hummed chanting.
