CD - Blues Mix: Old School Blues Volume 2 #997915
Another strong compilation CD by Ecko Records that contains two moving tributes to the late great Marvin Sease! Modern Blues CD with some Southern Soul Party Songs
Mr. Jody You Did Your Job Sheba Potts-Wright delivers a beautiful ballad as a tribute to Marvin Sease!
Put A Little Water With It Mr. Sam sings to a slow funky base song. (In the tradition of Johnny "Guitar" Watson)
Love Monkey Donnie Ray takes it back to the juke joints on this one. Down home bluesy feel with a modern full sound.
Hole in the Wall Cafe Upbeat remix of a Southern Soul party classic Southern Soul hit by the Mystery Man.
Spank Smooth Swing out song with tight bass line and strong vocals by Ms Jody.
Woman Ain't No Fool O.B. Buchana has the strongest vocals on this CD and delivers a smooth mid-slow temp ballad. Great for late night play.
Good Looks Can Get Him But It Takes Good Lovin' to Keep Him Home Remix of classic blues tune by St. Louis Blues woman Barbara Carr. Hot song, tight lyrics, but looses blues flavor, Good change up song.
Something I Want Funky duet with David Brinston, upbeat Blues tune!
