Manchester producer shrouded in mystery and anonymity churning out some seriously poignant witch house beats. With lots of gentle emotional ambient layering, pained chopped and screwed lyrics, and deep pulses of synth, this is a perfect album for steam tunneling after a breakup, trying to find a bar open at 4AM in the rain, and wondering how your biography is going to read. Holy Other got a lot of early press from XLR8R, who listed this album as the best of 2011—it was definitely up there for me as well (if you care about such things).
