Beautiful melding of garage, psyche, psyche-garage, horror, surf, surf-horror, and an undeniable melodic pop sentiment in the way Joy Division channeled the Beatles at times. Plastered in reverb, male vocs and twangy Fender guitars, tasteful organs, not the in-your-face “look how retro psyche farfisa we are!”. Come to think, that’s why this is so great: despite using tried and true excellent elements, recipe, nothing panders to overstatement or banal derivation. Its very original despite harkening to Jesus and The Mary Chain, Dead Bolt, Raspberries, Spacemen 3, Joy Division. This is a great band!

1) (2:00) driving, dark
2) (3:40) slower swaying sexy surfy
3) (1:42) upbeat galloping
4) (2:55) peppy upbeat beat with slathers of reverby pop
5) (6:10) slow minimal chant-like intro, then after a minute or so a poppy ride cymbal type beat kicks in for pure pop genius
6) (2:21) slower meandering beat, like Joy Division
7) (3:18) upbeat
8) (2:09) slower, with cool slide guitar
9) (3:01) different, chimey and soaring pop
10) (3:46) upbeat fast, near 80’s high hat JD/New Order feel with guitar carrying melodies and doomy vocs
11) (3:01) upbeat but midpaced, jangly, tambourine feel
