Nick Moss kicks ass. He’s from Chicago and this is his ninth release. From all-out R’n’R to funky strut to bluesy rock, this is the real deal. Nick plays some insane guitar, with solid playing by all on keys, bass, drums, backing vocals. Strong stuff throughout. No FCC’s.
*My Favorites*: 1, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11.
1. *(7:43) Mid / Fast. Mean guitar, rollicking ride. Boogie piano.
2. (4:55) Mid. Easy groover with strong beat, gets fuller with guitar lead, female backing vocals.
3. (5:30) Mid. Title track. Crunchy rockin’ guitar, cymbal strikes, organ.
4. (4:50) Mid. Funky with swirling organ, strong beat, sweet guitar solos.
5. *(8:22) Slow / Mid. Beautiful vibe with heavenly keys, plodding beat, sublime guitar, fantastic backing vocals.
6. *(4:37) Mid. Mean vibe with organ, great percussion, killer guitar.
7. *(6:34) Mid. Another mean one, vocal delivery a bit drawn out, cool organ, ominous guitar. I hear a smidgen of earliest Sabbath, strong ‘70‘s rock. A bit funky too. Yeah.
8. (9:44) Mid. Funky, funky. Wah-wah guitar, cool percussion, backing vocals, gets a bit jammy.
9. *(9:39) Mid. Easy blues groover, plodding beat, keys, cool guitar with hypnotic and mean solos. Gets rockin’ with extended jammings.
10. *(4:59) Slow. INSTRUMENTAL. Mellow groover with nice guitar over subdued organ, plodding beat. A few unintelligible background voices. Really nice.
11. *(5:05) Slow / Mid. Shortened version of #5. Beautiful vibe with heavenly keys, plodding beat, sublime guitar, fantastic backing vocals.
