Electrified, baroque indie-folk/rock. Bold, operatic male vox (no breathy crooning here) and a balancing of the ethereal with the aggressive. This one's louder, tighter, and less conceptually constrained than anything they've done in a while. Think Okkervil River with a nod to medieval Europe instead of to Americana, or Fleet Foxes with a lot more backbone. FCC clean, all tracks great but start with 1, 7, 5. -Andy

**1 - (3:38) driving, inviting opener
*2 - (3:08) uptempo and jagged
*3 - (3:51) fantastic plodding e. guitar riff w/ languid vox
4 - (3:43) flitting piano line, intricate and sentimenal
**5 - (6:25) sparse, rattling intro; dramatic and sprawling w/ belted refrain
6 - (2:26) fast-paced rock number
**7 - (3:25) mid-tempo yet exhilarating, with a pounding hook
8 - (2:50) dreamy mid-tempo
9 - (4:32) intense drum kit, fast and somber
10 - (4:11) delay washed, downbeat, fragile
11 - (5:01) confident, contemplative, glimmering indie rock
