– General Description:
The Callas is an art collective led by two Greek brothers Lakis and Aris Ionas and they collaborated with Lee Renaldo (Sonic Youth) to produce this Greek chorus Greek play Greek music all rolled into a very 60s early 70s rock feel for music with spooky story/mood setting interstitials. This is fun. Play it.

– Track Reviews:
1. (1:15) Octopus No. 1 - spooky with trembling long tones under and chanting wispy voices
2. (2:51) The Magic Fruit of Strangeness - animated; crash rocknroll start, distorted vocals
3. (1:14) Octopus No. 2 - female spoken word over spooky metallic slithering sounds
4. ***(6:41) Μελανιά - (Greek: Bruise) lively; simple beating percussion, winding male vocal with pedal point chorus that builds, very Greek sounding and has a focusing effect
5. (1:11) Octopus No. 3 - ‘chocolate desire’(?) robotically repeated w/more spooky metallic sounds
6. (3:04) Trouble & Desire - rap-like start, 60s feel after, very fuzzy vocals
7. (0:45) Octopus No. 4 - female spoken word over spooky metallic sound
8. ***(4:03) Mirroir - (French: Mirror) fast; very 60s 70s Gentle Giant that gang feel over thumping percussion and ascending scales, fun!
9. (0:26) Octopus No. 5 - the story/mood setting narration continues
10. ***(5:10) Πετώ - (Greek: Fly) upbeat; Led Zeppelin feel with a Greek mandolin delivery
11. (0:45) Octopus No. 6 - female asking “Do you sleep at night? No? Is it done?”
12. **(2:41) Acid Books - spirited; jump up and down rock rah rah music
13. (0:47) Octopus No. 7 - the story/mood setting narration continues
14. (4:46) (this title is in Greek and Zookeeper won't let me put it in in Greek) - (Greek: My Sweet Pretty) simple throb under simple sliding male vocal, abrupt end
