Philippe Gerber under any guise never disappoints and this new release with the John 3:16 moniker is certainly no exception – Thoughtful dark experimental with light flourishes, manages to keep the Philadelphia experimental scene at the forefront of the genre.

Similar to: Mytrip, Christina Vantzou, Deison & Mingle

All great – 2 is full of Eastern charm & very special.

No FCC’s (Instrumentals)

1) Therion (6.03) Brooding from the outset with waves of ominous joy…subtle strumming at times adds another dimension.
2) 200 Million Horsemen (6.14) Starts off in airy X factor fashion & then gradually the momentum picks up leading in a neo folky direction – the added background wails make this a seductive masterpiece of a track.
3) Leviathan (5.57) Crackling low hiss of a charmer, that gets deep into your skull – uncompromising drone.
4) Rapture 2.0 (7.31) A cleaner sound with the bass coexisting with the droney delight – sampled voice blends in perfectly – long wind swept fade.
