Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2020-01-15
DOOM. Soul crushing variety. Nadja comes to mind with the heavy yet ethereal slathering of walls of volume. Big desperate tortured vocs. Slow huge drama. The ambient works of Tauusk, anything huge and dark in that respect. But when the guitars and drums and vocals appear I suggest you find the nearest bomb shelter. More sickness from Virginia.

1) (11:05) obligatory glacial quiet dramatic dark intro, finally a big hollow doom pod appears. 2) (14:38) slow drone fade-in, this one contains onslaughts, back forths. 3)* (12:47) Big hollow spooky ambient doom for 4:45 THEN full frontal take no prisoners assault 4) (7:17) very atmospheric with sparse bass plucking leading the dark quiet doom, can I say gorgeous?
