Jason Molina's devastating voice, his acoustic guitar and band, and backup female vocalist make up Songs: Ohia. This is a mostly melancholy (and at times bluesy) acoustic rock album. Ref: Acetone, Red House Painters. They're all good, but I starred my favorites. -nari
1. (7:49) dusty sad country feel, with longing duets on the chorus
2. (5:49) gently insistent bitter minor chord change, voices of warning
3. (6:10) big bass drum and cello strokes for a head-bobbin beat, agitated vocals
4. (5:58) slow, resigned march; cello & violin sweeps come in later
5. (8:26) rock song with slow, bluesy feel; Molina's piercing vocals at his best; best pick
6. (2:12) quiet little number, Molina & female duet, soft guitar
7. (6:50) another heartbreaking blues
