Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2010-02-07
Stripped down sparse bluesy folky songs that often barely plod along. Like Jack White in a near narco-coma trying to play Nick Drake. Sounds like a dobro, muffled, with various acoustic percussion instruments then occasional treatments. All songs sorta plod along in a minimal fashion. Get into this guy’s head at your own risk.

1) bluesy, midpaced, sparse
2) swaying feel, more of a full band feel but still sparse, trippy
3) almost a vibraphone tymphany big band thing in the distance, pensive feel
4) slow and dark plod, bordering on creepy
5) psychey eastern ploddy slight hippie jam to this
6) a minimal percussion heavy brief piece
7) slow plod, near spooky industrial scraping sounds, a death march
8) cool old phase shifter used on some guitar for a mid paced but nonetheless plodding piece
9) fuller sound, dying dissonant blues
10) tympani beat and moaning vocal humming melody with lyrics trying to break through the fog
