Apricot Rail/ Apricot Rail

Gorgeous instrumental soundscapes. Really, really beautiful. The premise of the band was simple: music based on unique guitar tunings, the use of natural harmonics, and very open ideas about other instruments, electronica and song structure. RIYL: Explosions in the Sky, Do Make Say Think, Album Leaf, Eluvium, Red Sparowes, and crazaaaay jazz. achieve epic, beautiful instrumental sound very very well.

FCC Clean (so far as I can tell)
Try: 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

1. beautiful trembling, lush sound, pauses, explodes into epic soaring melodies, twinkly interlude, crazy frantic jazzy sounding ending with sax 2. slower, rolling chords and simple clean melodies, bells, picks up into epic sparkling track 3. synth, bells, muted sound, and clear electric guitar melodies like a sunny afternoon covered in honey, then becomes clearer with more strings, slight singing 4. dreamy, pretty melody and steady beat 5. slow cymbal taps and rolling guitar chords, male and female vocals, accordian, not the best lyrics, but great instrumentation 6. pretty, simple opening riffs, builds gradually with additions of light drums, more melodies 7. very bright techno-synth at beginning, though not fast paced, guitars overlay melodies, plucking, very light and simple ends with epic horns, great 8. pretty, light and of course explodes into epic instrumental lush soundscape 9. slow to mid-tempo light, with roaming sax and winds explodes and ends 10. sounds like strange techno raindrops at first driving drums and melody with light drops of plucked notes along the way gorgeous nice up and down climactic areas.
