Outsider Music? Or are hipsters imitating the genre? Simple songs, “poorly” played gutar, strange simple male vocs and lyrics, bashy drums if any. File under Steve Lieberman, Wesley Willis, Daniel Johnston, Tangela Tricoli.
1) (2:17) simple guitar/mandolin
2) (2:56) strange dark guitar +drums, obtuse vocs, huh?
3) (3:30) simple and quieter guitar + drums
4) (5:01) mathy almost, faster urgent, stops and goes, quiet strum a mnute or so in, 3 min in it bashes out again and gets high school dirgy and loud, wtf?
5) (3:12) starts w/ strummy take on classical song, stays on track w/ simple strum and vocs, drums
6) (1:31) brief, out of tune, strange layering/echo
7) (4:23) “smooth rock” feel, heavily chorused guitar strummed
8) (3:55) chill, sparse to start, dark plodding strum, instrumental
9) (6:54) dark and morose with strange vocs
