John Vanderslice: White Wilderness: Soft singer/songwriter, like a less exotic-sounding version of Beirut. Very whispery yet luxurious melodies! FCC clean. Try 1, 3, 9, 8.
1) Sweet guitar and piano, even sweeter vocals.
2) The energetic horns sound almost out of place in the calm melody.
3) Quiet, bass piano chords and violin.
4) Intriguing instrumentals; weird, almost atonal melodies.
5) Acoustic guitar and light vocals, and that’s it, folks.
6) The horns fit in better here, along with clocktower-like rhythms.
7) Soft but uplifting melody.
8) Cool breezy melody, airy yet lush.
9) Haunting violin intro, deep piano chords.
