Jimmy Fallon/ Blow Your Pants Off/ Warner Bros.-LoudMouth Ent.
One thing that we can appreciate from this album is the fact that Jimmy Fallon is one heck of a musician. His timing is right on and his impersonations are eerie at times. The wit of the song parodies gives the album an added dimension of comedy. He is fortunate to be able to work with the Roots who help to give the album musical credibility by adding their skill. His musical guests are also no slouches themselves. As a huge Beatles fan, it’s cool to hear Paul McCartney do a parody of one of the most classic songs of all time. It’s nice to hear the studio audience throughout the album because it reminds us that this is being recorded live and is not a “studio” album where the artist can spend days on end recording (and re-recording) songs. My favorite songs are 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 11(AWESOME). FCC Clean and pretty damn funny.
2:52* Acoustic and slower tempo. Good impersonation of Neil Young
2:28* The video went viral. Timberlake does not distinguish himself as the one who’s actually a professional musician.
2:25 Funny parody of “Space Oddity”. Sounds just like Bowie.
2:36* The content of the text is just hilarious. Nice to see a genius that is able to make light of some of his best work.
3:00* I think he does a great Jim Morrison. Mid tempo remake of a classic tv show.
2:00 Folky, country acoustic tune with guest appearance by Eddie Vedder. Be careful with suggestive indecency.
1:31* Nice punk rock tune. Up tempo. Sounds like the Ramones.
1:47 Acoustic and well played. Sounds alot like Dylan.
3:43 Country tune. Mid tempo.
3:18 Slow jam soul tune. Brian Williams voice over doing the news
1:53*** Up/mid tempo Bossa Nova tune. Light, funny, well played.
2:45 Modern country tune. Mid tempo
2:27 Slower tempo. Folky, rock, Springsteen-esque tune
3:20 Up tempo pop tune. Some hip hop and AUTOTUNE!
3:37 Folk acoustic. Slow tempo. Guest appearance by the Boss!
