Genre: Dance, Synth-pop, dreamy indie pop
An electropop trio formed in Omaha, Nebraska in 2011, bringing together singer/synth player Sarah Bohling, singer/multi-instrumentalists Derek Pressnall, and Nik Fackler (director of the Independent Spirit nominated Lovely, Still); who became acquainted through the Omaha arts scene and Pressnall's sidebands Tilly and the Wall and Flowers Forever.
Strong, sharp and unusual. The euphoric melodies draw you in and keep you there from start to finish.
FCC 3
**1. Heat Lightning(4.32)- mesmerized female vocal, clever mix, catchy, danceable, youthful
*2. I am(3.58)- synth-pop, sloppy male vocals, up-beat, entertaining, catchy
FCC3. Sex to the Devil(4.54)- rhythmic, repetitive lyrics, ominous synths alluring vocals
*4. Cycle(3.11)- hypnotic, atmospheric, slow/mid-tempo, nocturnal bar crawls
5. Deep in the Throes (4.07)- bass and guitar kicks in the middle, sexy vocal
6. Babes (3.28)- repetitive lyrics, hypnotic
7. Burn Rubber(3.40)- woozy, bizarre atmosphere, threatening, eerie, rebellious
8. Temporary Freakout(3.58)- mid-tempo, catchy, freaks, ingenuous
9. Stark Weather(3.56)- “immoral” lyrics, lifeless, slovenly, inert, stark, unorthodox
*10. Perfect Vision(6.30)- lackadaisical, inactive, delicate effects, dark, shadowy vocals, dreamy pop ballad, droning guitar, dance-infused indie rock
