elctro indie pop/soulful adult contempo.
chan marshall is back with this, her first album in 6 years. most commercial venture to date.
unlike her previous work -which tended to be spare, acoustic, singer songwriter fare- this is electro based. it's also self made: she played all instruments and produced. that accounts for the claustro feel to the whole. first half is boring; second half shines.
MR. ESQ. SEZ: MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOV-(that's half a 'W'.)

*10. PURR-FECT: very similar to bowie's 'heroes.' (cameo by iggy pop near end.)slow fade in. false ending, so beware. long track=just under 11 minutes! it's epic,baby! classic cat power survives the electro treatment. (it's still chan.)
