Garage punk/noise rock band from LA on In the Red. Abrasive, distorted, loud, riffy, effects in all the right places, guitar/bass/drums/unintelligible vox all at about the same levels. Killer rhythm section, probably a treat to see live. They probably don’t call things “a treat RIYL: Tyvek, Goner Records, tinnitus
*1 (1:26) Segmented: quiet opening, bursts of noise, hollered verse, ah-ah-ah-ahs, pretty great
2 (2:25) Grooves on a riff for a while, catchy one line chorus, guitars pick up a bit near end
3 (4:30) Whirrs, sung-spoke vox, riffs around a great distorted bass line
4 (1:53) Smashing drums, vox especially pushed to the back
5 (2:12) Pounding and screaming, a few bursts of guitar+delay
*6 (4:56) Noisy, fuzzy, dark slurry of sound; post-apocalyptic without 20 minutes of drone
7 (1:41, FCC FUCK) Vox might be the focus here, some cool guitar bursts
8 (3:16) Gritty guitar+feedback, stormy, slightly slower, ~30s fade out
*9 (2:35) Starts off a bit quieter (no less intense); detached, darkly funny vox, squealing guitars
*10 (2:26) Crunchy with intense screamed/sang vox and also some slightly Ian Curtis vox
11 (3:42) Especially a lot of whirring and distortion here
