!!! (Chk Chk Chk): “Thr!!!er” – Very funky. You will definitely dance, even if you have no feet. All tracks move and groove. I like it all. – Sunshine, June 2013
FCCs: Tracks 1 & 2. (Unfortunately, both are terrific!)
1-“Even When the Water’s Cold” – Story of a relationship. Good vocal harmony and lyrics. Great beats. (3:48) FCC: Bullshit
2-“Get That Rhythm Right” – Funky beats right away. Subliminal background vocals. Sax. (5:06) FCC: (Give a) Shit
3- “One Girl/One Boy” – Cool, dancey. Funky guitar. Good harmony. Lyrics are a little sappy. (4:04)
4- “Fine Fine Fine” – Almost P-Funk beats at start. Marchy funk. Guitar. Somewhat repetitive. (3:54)
5- “Slyd” – New School Funk. Female vocals, laughter. Sort of Pet Shop Girls. Electronic beats. Male vocals: “Watch her get down, watch her get down …” Disco-ish. (4:15)
6- “CaliforniYeah” – Jungle cry at first . . . Male vocals. Great beatz. Grooves. Cool funky guitar. (4:34)
7- “Except Death” – Upbeat groover. Funkified. Guitar. Beatz. Interesting lyrics. (4:37)
8- “Careful” – Very retro funky, mixed with Jefferson Airplane “White Rabbit” type riffs. Extremely rhythmic. (5:37)
9- “Station (Meet Me at The)” – Punky start. Harsh harmony. Still has beats and grooves. Probably my least favorite track. (3:55)
