Joel Alter: Sweatbox Label: We Are
Good straightforward techy-house music featuring lots of shimmering synths, clean synth stabs pitched up & down. Joel Alter sticks with a tried-and-true formula - keeping things simple and clean, and listenable. The music is consistent and provides a good groove for the dancefloor. I think "Sweatbox" (#1) sets the standard, and "Decipher" (#3) is also quite solid too.
1. "Sweatbox" (6:40) - Crisp techy-house featuring some great synth stabs that are pitched up & down. Clean and simple groover.
2. "Chords" (6:30) - Again, more great synth stabs and a crispy-clean house beat. Similar vibe to "Sweatbox" - simple & good.
3. "Decipher" (6:08) - A bit more stripped-down and slightly moodier, with reverberating and gentle synths and a nice crispy beat.
