Mazzy Star meets Holly GoLightly, Raincoats. Female singer/songwriter from Melbourne, voice very reminiscent of Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star), music melds twangy atmospherics of Mazzy with garage bluesy sentiments of all things Headcoats, Raincoats, jangle psyche of early Rolling Stones and psyche roots rock of the best of Creedence even. Voice gets scratchy a la Kim Deal at times, but not cloyingly so, with loads of self-harmonies. Play with Anna Calvi, Eliza Randazzo, Mazzy Star, Bongwater (Ann Magnuson).
