World music band Pangia released this CD in 2013. Includes collaborations with various world musicians. Mostly instrumental tracks.
1. Traditional Arabic instrumental, joyous and and perfect for belly dancing. (2:36)
2. Turkish music, sound of the reed dominates. Vocals in Turkish. Mellow and haunting. (3:32)
3. Beating Drums, Derbouka, at various increasing speeds. (2:35)
**4. Fast instantly likable instrumental version of a song made famous decades ago by Lebanese singer Fairuz. (2:59)
5. Haunting intro, a cry from the East leads to a faster beat while maintaing Eastern chords. (4:05)
6. Slow, sad instrumental from Turkey with vocals in Turkish. (3:39)
7. Rhythmic, drums and other Eastern traditional instruments, lots of drums. Instrumental.(1:35)
**8. Traditional song, revamped and updated. Faster beat than previously released versions of this classic tune. (3:26)
**9. Slow rhythmic instrumental version of a famous Syrian song originally titled 'Linda, Linda' (4:03)
10. Persian tune with vocals/lyrics by Eraj Teymoor Tash (3:55)
11. Faster instrumental, drum and Darbouka dominate. Entrancing. (2:35)
12. Famous Arabic song, fast and furious, with no vocals.(2:08)
My faves: 4, 8, 9
