This is so crazy, so weird, so over-the-top, it's almost gotta be a joke. Reminds me of Impaled Northern Moonforest with track names like NekroKvntPuke, Vomitfvkker, and especially Koldgrimm HellMasturbator. Still…that doesn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying this band. Wow. This album was originally released in 2004 on Rusty Axe Records as a CDr, the band self-released it in 2011 (again as a CDr) , and finally Crucial Blast picked it up…so in a way this is the albums first TRUE release. It's VERY INACCESSIBLE and there is much joking by the band that they want you to hate it. Most songs have so much distortion on them that they approach white noise. That said, if you can hang on for the ride, it's worth it.
BM - The lines between black metal (BM) and grind are blurred, but these songs are "metal"
N - Frankly, it's all noise (N)…but this is noise without metal in it.
Disc 1
Once the 29-track album plays through, then the album basically plays again but IN REVERSE with some added effects and chopped up. Generally, if a track was good forward, it'll be good backwards. Also, if you'd rather not play things that sound like metal then stick to the remixes…the metal elements are much less prominent..mainly just noise. SHORT SONGS. Very few tracks hit the two-minute mark.
First number is the original song, Second number is the remix.
01 / 58.) Weird psych noise, slow moving noise riff, movie clips
02 / 57.) BM Hellacious noisy black metal with wicked screams, lil psych
03 / 56.) + + BM bordering on white noise, lil psych, weird chugs
04 / 55.) + + + BM noise that starts to melt and warp in the middle,
05 / 54.) + BM with halloween spook noises underneath
06 / 53.) + + N pulsing white noise with weird rapidly alternating notes and witch laughter
07 / 52.) BM with kinda warping sound
08 / 51.) + + + BM fucking space-age phaser, riffs sound amazing, desperate vocals
09 / 50.) + + + BM nightmare moans into noisy BM
10 / 49.) + + Wow, I can make out some riffs. Quite possibly the most accessible song yet.
11 / 48.) + + N single hyper-overdriven notes
12 / 47.) BM
13 / 46.) + + Dirty.
14 / 45.) + + Feedback facefuck
15 / 44.) + BM with phaser noise at end
16 / 43.) + + N warping cacophony of lost souls
17 / 42.) + + + BM grind but slows into awesome creepy atmosphere
18 / 41.) + + + BM kinda has a groove…or maybe that's just me dry heaving.
19 / 40.) BM surprisingly straightforward
20 / 39.) + + BM with some tempo / texture changeups. Worth playing just to read the song name on air
21 / 38.) + Evil synthesizer. Least harsh track so far.
22 / 37.) + BM
23 / 36.) + + + Chugging metal into psychedelic nightmare noise
24 / 35.) + + + DOOM sickness. Somewhat sparse song (for the album)
25 / 34.) + BM with the bass completely absent from the mix. With the vocal samples it's almost like Power Electronics, actually.
26 / 33.) + + + BM melt-banana style
27 / 32.) BM high and low growls together
28 / 31.) + + + Slower groove (still harsh). Bad acid trip in the middle. "Eat some more pills, pillhead"
29 / 30.) + + N Stuttering simple synth. Devolves.
Disc 2
This is bonus material collected from compilations, EPs, demos, and other rarities. It's qualitatively similar in sound to Disc 1 but A LOT more accessible with conventional song structures. That being said, it's still not very accessible. KILLER STUFF!!!
First number is CD track number, Second number is ZooKeeper track number
01 / ZK59.) + + + (4:07) Ripping thrashy BM with some tempo changes. Like Abigail turned up a notch.
02 / ZK60.) + + + (1:04) Semi-unplugged and kinda tribal but still harsh and disgusting.
03 / ZK61.) + + + (2:39) Kind of icy BM with howled vocals. Cool riffs.
04 / ZK62.) + + + (4:54) Stoner/death riffs gets put through the wood-chipper, Enbilulustyle
05 / ZK63.) + + + (1:48) ***Von cover*** Echoey, Harsh, and Disgusting, just the way you want it.
06 / ZK64.) + + + + (5:38) Solid thrashy riffs with really tortured screams. Crazy textures and far-out guitar "solo".
07 / ZK65.) + + + + (3:32) WAAAAAAAGABLAAABLAAABLAAAAAWWWGGGG!!!!! This is fucking awesome.
08 / ZK66.) + + + (3:09) Whew! Taking a little break here with this doom crusher. Blast beats near end.
09 / ZK67.) + + + (4:57) Another slower doom trip.
10 / ZK68.) + + + (3:28) The most harsh death industrial you've ever heard. Great atmosphere.
11 / ZK69.) + + + (4:48) Nekrodoooom
12 / ZK70.) + + (3:33) Harsh Ambient
13 / ZK71.) + + + (2:25) Thrash with lots of howls
14 / ZK72.) + + + (3:24) SUPER FAST thrash with rising and falling moan-screams and weird feedbacks. Intense.
15 / ZK73.) + + + (2:05) More thrash with cool noise / electronic effects
16 / ZK74.) + + + + (4:33) Rising and falling warped seasick noises with some metal in the background.
17 / ZK75.) + + + (3:01) Noise. Womp womp womp womp with feedback.
18 / ZK76.) + + + (2:16) They put extra evil sauce on this one. Kind of a Beherit vibe…kind of.
19 / ZK77.) + + + (2:03) How are all these songs so good???
20 / ZK78.) + + + (2:14) Big headbang right here.
21 / ZK79.) + + + (7:59) DARK AMBIENT!!! Very soft, not harsh at all, often quiet. Seems like a fitting end...
