DARK AMBIENT with occasional rhythms. Lurid, cavernous rumbling; nightmarish soundscapes. Hissing, echoing, screeching, fourth-dimensional hypnotoad incantations. Need I say more? PLAY THIS, IT’s AWESOME. ALL HAIL THE HYPNOTOAD.
RIYL Lustmord, train stations at midnight, the Balrog in the first Lord of the Rings book
1. The journey begins, and we descend through echoing industrial mineshafts before settling into a windy grotto beneath the ocean floor
2. dark, eerie oscillations and clanging, thumping. Gandalf: “they’re coming…”
3. thumping sounds get less chaotic, more percussive, even tribal
4. rusty chainsaw chirping, creepy buzzing, droning, and mumbling vocals, soundtrack to the autopsy room in a gulag
5. soft rumbling explosions in the first half, subtly transitions into… BEATS?
6. drifting in an electrical storm while a vast metropolis burns to the ground beneath you
