Katechon // Man, God, Giant
RIYL: Antediluvian, Blackened thrash, blackened death
Blackened death thrash assault! Hailing from Norway, this is the bands first official album released in 2013. I liked the drums alot, somehow even the blastbeats are interesting here. This is a solid album overall with a few really kickass tracks. Check #3 or #7 for maximum pleasure. No discernible FCCs.
SENT TO US BY NUCLEAR WAR NOW! PRODUCTIONS
1.) (2:55) + Blast beats and tremolo picking, funeral bell, face-ripper
2.) (2:12) A little slower, deeper growls, almost melodic guitars at the end
3.) (3:42) + + Slower doomy start then a fucking horns-up high-energy assault. THRASHY!!!
4.) (1:42) Thrash away
5.) (3:09) Death metal vibes
6.) (3:09) Somewhat icy black metal in parts
7.) (3:17) + + OH YEAH! Locks into a super solid death metal groove. This'll get your nipples hard.
8.) (4:02) Kind of lopsided almost-punk chugging riff
9.) (2:30) + Interesting thrashy riffs and a little more tempo dynamics than the rest of the album
10.) (2:22) + Another blackened thrash gem
11.) (5:24) + + Almost symphonic in its scope, harsh yet melodic, dynamic, SYNTHS. Different from the rest of the album in a good way!
