Bibio
Label: Warp records
Stephen Wilkonson, prolific artist. This one is kind of moody, kind of folkyish, dreamy, and generally very dramatic. Either spoken/ slightly sung and spacey male vox, lots of synths, and strummed guitars. Overall ethereal.. Sounds like: Boards of Canada, Nick Drake.
~Mayjahn~
FCC Clean
Picks: 4, 6
1. (5:24) Soft guitar strumming, lush synths, and unintelligible spoken male vox
2. (2:39) Old time-y sound to it, a slow little swing number. Eerily melancholic and twangy.
3. (2:35) Same kind of soft guitar surrounded by male vox and synths. Rain sounds and some twinkling lights in this one too.
*4. (3:05) Monks (?) + dramatic echo-y synth chords. Fantastic instrumental for dramatic PSAs!
5. (5:40) More plucky, male vox telling creepy but cute story. Reminds me of melancholic Of Montreal.
*6. (6:31) Busier but pensive and dramatic. Drums/ snares come in on this one
