Som Sakrifis

Double bass, cello & oscillators hard at work from this Greek three piece. This is very easy on the ears – deeply relaxing experimental drone bliss. As atmospheric has it gets. Real quality from within this genre.
Similar to: Coil, Psywarfare, Skin Area….
All three tracks deserve a play.
1) Sakrifis (6:50) Pause driven subtle cello drone, with some lovely flourishes in the background. More assessable than the other two tracks.
2) Lapli Tero (8:13) As above, only with a slightly darker more brooding quality. The droney sound slowly builds up but never gets harsh.
3) Liberig Min (17:01) Extravagantly builds momentum – Birdcall & ocean sounds form the background with the cello purr gradually forming the centerpiece. Pause after 7.40, which would make a natural place to fade if time is against you. At 7.52 the cello becomes slightly more assertive. At 12.20 it steps it up a notch again. Play it in its entirety or choose to play excerpts. Either way it’s a superior experimental drone delight.
