Fable

Second release as a duo following their debut in 2011 – This Experimental journey paints a desolate yet uplifting landscape…plenty of chimes, bells & maybe even glockenspiels. The theme of nature plays an important role here; field recordings abound. Like: Coil, Rene Hall (the LA Duo), Coagul, early Cabaret Voltaire.
All good - All Instrumental - No FCC’s
1) Over Inland (4.26) Enriching start: bells, chimes, chirps & children’s voices all play a role in this lavish opener.
2) Encased In Blue Marble (4.18) More of a brooding quality, soft drone under a rich texture. Synths opt for an alien feel at times. Eerie conclusion.
3) A Chime For The Fable (3.35) Rougher edge to this. Church bells being harshly rung & mashed up. It’s all about the bells…& seagulls.
4) Forecast The Dawn (4.50) Industrial with a milder tinge to it. Various sounds put through the grinder.
5) A Fable For The Chime (4.25) Softer chimes & bells. Effected birdcalls lead to solo bells & serene waves of sound.
6) That Caress, Inverted (3.58) Austere waves of sound on this. Bleak mid winteriness. Howling winds as an undercurrent with a bleak heartbeat on top.
7) Tender Unison (4.33) More cheery finale, coming out of the frozen tundra to a dazzling sunrise. Still mellow.
