SF duo returns: One of the early progenitors of the two man guitar drums rootsy blues movement that since took indie rock by storm. White Stripes, Black Keys, Black this, Black that. Twelve years ago these two went from busking the BART station to playing the Fillmore... then the heroin took hold. They disappeared. Now back. Bigger band sound. Emotional gut wrenching vocals remain. Damn good song writing (see the title track to the 2004 cd The Throes: Holy fucking shit!!!). Great band. A little slicker now, cleaned up shall we say? No more track marks. No nodding off allowed.
