Bred in NC and living in NYC, Becca Stevens released Perfect Animal and it is a super cool record. She is classically trained in guitar and her voice is really one of a kind. RIYL: Florence and the Machine, Neko Case, Regina Spektor, Feist, tUnEyArDs…it's super different, hard to put in a box because it is kind of all over the map.

1. (3:34) I Asked - Super cool plucking on the guitar and awesome drums, breathy vocals, weird background vocal sounds.
2. (5:08) Imperfect Animals - Title namesake, pretty, big sound, super good.
3. (4:06) Thinkin Bout You - LOVE THIS ONE!! Cover of a Frank Ocean song, and it is KILLER. Beautiful sound great beat, yeah a great cover of a great song.
4. (5:05) Be Still - Up tempo, a little more poppy but still with different folksy intricacies.
5. (4:37) 105 - More mellow and pretty.
6. (5:37) Tillery - This one reminds me of tUnEyArDs just because of all of the layers of sound. Super cool.
7. (5:07) You Make Me Wanna - THIS IS AN USHER COVER!!! Kind of blew my mind, it is pretty awesome.
8. (5:02) Reminder - Not really my favorite track, a little too Florence and the Machine sounding but with a slightly harder edge.
9. (5:21) Higher Love - Mid tempo, lots of harmonies, not all that interesting.
10. (5:13) JAC - Down tempo, very pretty.
