Drone chill with industrial electro tendencies. Perfect balance between the ambient & the dark side. Similar to: Coagul, Deison & Mingle, Can (ish), Front 242, Cabs All top drawer. Really liking: 2,3,5,7,9
No FCC’s (Instrumentals)
1) Astor (4.56) Wave upon wave of gently drone. Grainy texture adds to the atmosphere. Long fade from -1.30, then builds for the last few seconds.
2) In The Wake (3.47) Tense & bleak, more of a light industrial feel. Repetitive sound put through the grinder.
3) Tuileries (3.06) Unhurried build of low throbbing drone.
4) Merchant Deceit (5.36) Upbeat, with a head nodding pulse. The sinister waves are still in evidence throughout-the final few seconds & the dancing is all over.
5) Sabad (3.24) Harsher, with a glorious repetitive ice edged power.
6) Battle Of The Cedars (6.48) Pitter pat beat, which gradually increases. Still with an underbelly of grizzleliness & decay. Breaks towards the end to a low buzzing finale.
7) Covent Garden (3.50) Low-fi industrial electro
8) The People’s Armory (5.15) It could be an anthem in the chill out room as the sun rises. Mid paced delight with long pitched fade.
9) Star Chamber (5.01) Mid paced austere electro.
10) Selkirk (4.10) More guts about this one. Faster beat dance track. Stops dead in its tracks.
11) Riza (6.05) Beat with drone backing – Mid paced waves of energy.
