Ronnie Spector / English Heart
The Ronettes icon Ronnie Spector's first album of new material since 2006 is a tribute album to the 1960s British Invasion. The eleven tracks of ENGLISH HEART comprise a collection of Ronnie’s hand picked favorites including songs recorded by the Kinks (Tired of Waiting), the Animals (Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood), the Beatles (I’ll Follow the Sun), and Gerry & the Pacemakers (Don’t Let the Sun Catch You Crying).
FCC Clean
1) (3:35) Oh Me Oh My (I'm a Fool for You Baby) - warm r&b slow jam
2) (2:29) Because - pop rock, rhythmic organ, backup harmonies
3) (2:49) I'd Much Rather Be with the Girls - pop-soul melody, backup harmonies, steel-sounding guitar
4) (3:03) Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying - string-only accompaniment, kick drum enters second half
5) (3:25) Tired of Waiting - softer water-down cover of Kinks
6) (2:15) Tell Her No - less-church gospel cover of The Zombies
7) (2:14) I'll Follow the Sun - guitar riffs, backup harmonies
8) (3:22) You've Got Your Troubles - late 70s-sounding pedal guitar and whammy bar cover of The Fortunes, backup harmonies
9) (2:10) Girl Don't Come - electric guitar chords and organ, Sandie Shaw cover
10) (2:37) Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood - upbeat kick drum, backup harmonies, tambourine and hand claps
11) (3:56) How Can You Mend a Broken Heart - layered organ notes, backup harmonies, tambourine, BeeGees cover
