– General Description: Roxy Swain is a Chicago band. Their website tells you nothing about them, not even the name of the vocalist. Her voice gets a bit buried but maybe that’s a good thing. Some yelling instead of singing. If you like that sort of thing – here’s your album. Very basic arrangements behind typical lyrics for the genre. Nothing stands out.

– Track Reviews:
1. **(3:31) Set The House On Fire - okay, loose vocal style a bit reminiscent of Lucinda Williams
2. (4:58) Ash In My Mouth - mellower clearer vocals until the end when she yells
3. (4:09) Falling Below - arpeggiating vocal line, bland arrangement
4. (3:40) Virgin Ex-Lovers - beating a simple guitar motive into your head while being sung a relatively slow song
5. (3:03) The Conversation - raucous start that then slows with more singing mixed with screaming
6. (3:45) She Who Hesitates - walking vocal line with block chord arrangements
7. (3:02) 13:46 - 13 hours and 46 minutes ago she felt better or worse, can’t tell
8. (3:12) February Hearts - singer drowned out again by bland loud arrangement despite her enthusiasm
9. (3:19) Son - cathartic for the singer; bad tuning of guitar and some strange panning
