Excellent debut collaboration by two Grammy Award-winning artists.
Very minimal production puts the emphasis on their vocals, which are in fine
form. Seven of the tracks are co-written originals.
1 – (3:11) Come What May* Rousing mid-tempo love anthem, great!
2 – (3:41) Tell Moses* Mid-tempo jug band sound, song of equality, fine.
3 – (2:49) Tobacco Road* Pounding rocker version of JD Loudermilk song, nice.
4 – (3:35) Ruby Tuesday Just so-so cover of Stones classic. Why?
5 – (4:20) The Way That We Do* Terrific mid-tempo duet, awesome track!
6 – (2:17) Happy And Free* Whimsical mid-tempo tune on contentment.
7 – (2:56) You Were On My Mind* Fantastic mid cover of Ian & Sylvia hit wow!
8 – (4:13) You’re Right (I’m Wrong)* Dark, mid rocker, brooding, excellent.
9 – (2:51) Raise The Dead* Great cover of Emmylou Harris song, rollicking beat.
10 – (3:41) You’re Still Gone* Slower, spare duet about loneliness, very nice.
